Hoopin’ In the New Year

Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was filled with laughter as mine was.

The night centered around yummy Italian food, raucous games of Twister and, of course, the Wii.

And oh my goodness. Have you ever watched someone doing the Hula Hoop game on the Wii Fit? It’s. Flippin. Hilarious.

I’m leaving this afternoon to spend the first weekend of this year in the mountains in beautiful Frisco, Colorado with my boy and some friends. Most people will ski and I’m looking forward to snowshoeing, lots of hours with a good book, quality time in the hot tub and tasty food.

2009 is looking fine …

  1. Did everyone get Wii Fit for Christmas this year? My cousin gave it to his wife and it’s hilarious. You should have seen my attempts at ski jumping. My cousin doing the tight rope might be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time.

  2. Thank you for capturing this stellar moment! (I’m just glad you didn’t capture me on video.) I’d love to see the other pics from the night too!

  3. Actually, Amber, I DID capture you on video. It was a tough choice about which one to post, but it came down to the background noise. This one took the cake.Jen, we didn’t try to the tight rope game, but that sounds funny!

  4. Is that video someone you know? I thought it was just something off YouTube. Very funny. I especially like the moments where he stretches to the side. 🙂

  5. Yes, Suzanne, that video is someone I know. (Which is why it is no longer up.) I took it with my camera. That’s Chris laughing so hard in the background.
